Who can open an ElloU account?
Right now you need to live and possess a passport or an ID card of one of the following countries to be able to set up an ElloU account:
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Sweden.
- You live in Germany but own a Spanish passport/ID card > You can open an ElloU account :)
- You live in Romania and own a greek passport/Portuguese ID card > You can not open an ElloU account :(
Throughout 2022, ElloU will become more and more globally accessible, with the USA and UK being added next!
Can I use the ElloU bank account to get paid for non-jovoto payments?
Certainly. This is a normal bank account with an IBAN and can be used to receive other payments as well.
If ElloU applies for me, do I need to open an account to receive my payments?
Ultimately, yes. We aim to work exclusively with ElloU. The reason that we’re insisting on this is that through ElloU we’re optimizing our payment processes, increasing the efficiency of paying, and reducing any hassle and fees on your behalf.
