Legal matters are complex and involve many parties. To help you navigate the legal aspects of jovoto, here is an overview of what legal documents you may encounter on jovoto. Please note that these are examples and the actual documents vary from project to project.
Terms of Use - When you set up a jovoto account, the Terms of Use documents outline various definitions including terms such as “creative”, “client”, “ideas”, “projects”, and “voting”.
You will find this document under the briefing > legal overview, of each project.
Data Protection - this document details how jovoto handles your data.
Project Terms - When you begin work on a particular project, there will be project-specific aspects to consider. These refer to the timing, payment, and deliverables of the project and can be found in the Pre-briefing information you receive when we invite you to a project. Please make sure you read these prior to participating.
OUR INVITE PROJECTS
We take care of building client relationships, negotiating contracts, understanding creative needs, and sorting through the logistics. As the buffer between the clients and you, the creative, we’ve developed a licensing process that gives you the greatest convenience and protection. This hopefully offers you a lot more time to focus on creating fantastic ideas, instead of doing paperwork!
When you participate in an Invite project you're agreeing to the "Work contract". (You can read it before approving your participation).
WORK CONTRACT
Work Contract - is a contract between you and the client in Invite Projects. This enables to automatically transfer the rights of your idea to the client. In other words, all rights automatically get passed to the client. As our projects are confidential, this contract includes an NDA.
NDA = stands for Non-Disclosure Agreement. If a project includes an NDA, you may never share information about the project, task, ideas (including your own), or any other elements with a third party.
