What images am I allowed to use on jovoto?
You must own the rights to the images you use to illustrate your idea.
Be aware that, by using images you find on the web, you may be violating someone's intellectual property rights. Before using any third person's images, you should ask for permission, find out if they are licensed under the Creative Commons (some limitations still apply and proper crediting is a must!) or buy license rights, for example at istockphoto or similar sites. Don't forget proper crediting here and be aware that stock images have their own limitations as to how and in which context you may use them.
Even when using borrowd, CC licensed or stock material, your submission must contain your own creative work. The images should always be used to illustrate your unique, creative concept.
To be on the very safe side, it's best to use images YOU have created yourself. jovoto is about concepts, not final designs, so any form of sketches, scribbles or drafs to illustrate your idea are great!
There are many ways to bring across a strong message - it does not need to be the flawless, high-end photo.
