What is IBAN and BIC / SWIFT?
IBAN: The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is an international standard for identifying bank accounts across national borders.
BIC / SWIFT: Business Identifier Code (BIC)
The BIC is the mostly used international identifier of financial
institutions. SWIFT in its role of ISO registration authority
issues BICs to financial and non-financial institutions connected
to the SWIFT network as well as to non-connected institutions.
Please ask your bank which one you use in your country! Your bank can easily give you your IBAN or BIC code - together with your bank account number this guarantees a safe money transfer to YOUR bank account! Ask your local bank clerk for the integrated number or have a look at the IBAN and BIC calculator or check your bank statement.
Don't worry, it's not as complicated as it might sound!
