How does the team feature work?

You have a brilliant idea but need collaborators to work it out and make it top notch? No problem, jovoto gives you the opportunity to collaborate on an idea in an idea team.

That’s how it works:

1. As the idea author you can invite collaborators to the idea via the idea edit form
2. Just click on “Add Collaborator” and invite the community members you want to collaborate with (type in the community member's user name).
3. You can add a message to explain his/her role in the idea team.
4. Invited collaborators get an email with a link to the idea view.
5. By clicking on “View Invitation” a lightbox opens:
6. Once an invited collaborator accepted the invitation, he/she is displayed in the idea view as a part of the idea team. Collaborators can only be removed by the Project Guide, so please contact us in this case.
7. The idea is now marked as a “Team idea”.
8. The idea team discusses how the prize money should be split. In case of winning, jovoto will transfer the prize money to the idea author’s PayPal or bank account. The idea author is responsible for transferring the agreed on parts to the collaborators.
9. All collaborators in the idea team have access to and can edit the idea and add new attachments. Attachments can be removed within 24hrs after the upload.
10. While a collaborator is working on the idea it’s temporarily blocked for the other collaborators to avoid overwriting. There’s a message in the idea edit form so you always know if this is the case.
11. If a collaborator leaves a comment in the thread under the idea, this comment is marked as “comment from collaborator”.
12. The collaborators can not rate on the idea.
13. The idea is displayed in all collaborators’ profiles. In case of being a winner idea it will be shown under “Winner Ideas & Sold Ideas”. (All collaborators gain Karma points for the idea.)
